Who are we?

OUR STORY

A few years ago, this beautiful beachfront property was nothing more than an open field.

Today, it’s a thriving Rescue Farm, gently returning to nature and surrounded by native trees. Our vision has always been simple: bring this land back to basics, restore, protect, and let wildlife feel at home again.

What started as a dream has become a peaceful sanctuary where animals, birds, and people coexist in harmony.

RESCUE FARM

We have a Rescue Farm with Rebel (a horse), Bramble (a deer), 3 turtles, a lot of flighty friends and we often keep dogs during the day.
Our idea was to bring back the birds on this property, we manage to bring some of them. Today we are happy to live in a bird sanctuary!

There are different species:

  • Wild ducks
  • Captive ducks
  • Chickens & Rooster
  • Doves
  • Guinea fowls
  • And sometimes:
    • Pukeko
    • Geese
    • Tui
    • Kingfisher
    • Fantail
    • Heron
    • others

If you’re lucky, you might also spot the graceful dance of Monarch butterflies drifting through the trees.

BRINGING LIFE BACK WITH NATIVE TREES

Planting trees has been at the heart of our journey to restore this land.

We’ve chosen to plant mostly native species, respecting the local ecosystem and helping nature reclaim its place. These trees do more than grow — they create shelter, food, and safe habitats for wildlife.

Some varieties were selected especially to attract birds, encouraging them to return and settle here. Others were planted with care to support the life cycle of the Monarch butterflies, offering them the environment they need to thrive.

Little by little, tree by tree, the property has come back to life — greener, richer, and full of movement.
