THE SHELL HUT
The Shell Hut is true kiwi bach style — simple, peaceful, and just a few modern comforts to make your stay easy.
Only 40 metres from your deck lies the soft white sand of Pahoia’s inner harbour beach, where the water gently laps at your feet and large waves are never a concern.
Private, quiet, and surrounded by nature — yet still close to shops and local amenities.
Inside the cabin
The Shell Hut has a full kitchen with a fridge/freezer, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher … You also have a gas BBQ by the deck. There is a bathroom with shower & toilet.
The cabins have tea & coffee making facilities, & basic cooking ingredients eg, cooking oil, salt & pepper.
This cabin is for 5 guests : 1 queen bed, 1 double bed & 1 single over the double bed in a bunk style. The perfect family or friends getaway.
Bring your 4 legged family members, we have plenty of room (please ask at booking time).
You can also add a tent (please ask at booking time).
Explore the property
Guests are free to wander through the Birdhaven sanctuary, along the property walkway, and across the bridges to the turtle islands in the duck pond.
There’s also a long scenic walk along the embankment beside the mangroves.
Kayaks and a paddleboard are available free of charge (please rinse after use).

We provide duvets, pillows, duvet covers, bathmat, and tea towels
Please bring sheets, pillowcases, and towels
If bringing a dog, please bring your own duvet to keep everyone comfortable
